Soft amethyst meets beautifully weathered silver in a bracelet that looks as though it might have a story of its own.

The Amethyst Relic Bracelet is handcrafted with genuine amethyst, additional semi-precious stones and glass beads. A natural amethyst focal stone anchors the design, while smaller round amethyst beads appear among delicate flower-like clusters of pale glass beads.

Much of the bracelet is worked in tarnish-resistant silver-toned artisan wire, but some of its wirework and components were reclaimed from earlier pieces that never quite became what they were meant to be. Rather than discard them, I gave them another chance. The result is intentionally more weathered and irregular than some of my other work—a little evidence of the creative journey still visible in the finished treasure.

Even the handmade S-and-loop clasp began life as part of an unsuccessful attempt at making a chain. Here, it found exactly where it belonged.

The bracelet measures approximately 8.5 inches including the clasp, making it one of my roomier bracelet designs.
